No. Images and other files can not be uploaded to or embedded in comments submitted to a blog.
Guest Authors and Co-owners who have been invited to contribute to your blog can upload files to their posts, not comments, created for your blog. Learn more.
Why not? First, allowing upload of files via comments would use storage space for your Typepad account. While you have significant storage available with your paid account, the option to upload files could lead to abuse and result in your account being penalized due to overages. Second, the embedding of images in comments could result in off topic or inappropriate content for your blog to be displayed and seen by other readers.
Alternative options:
- Set up a form or email address where images and other files can be sent to you.
- Ask readers to upload the images to a photo hosting website, like Flickr, or their own hosting account and include a link to the image in the comment. Links are allowed in comments.
