How To Hide URL Field In Comment Form

If you prefer to not allow commenters to include a link to their website, you can hide the URL field in the comment form. Removing the URL field may also help discourage spam comments.

This tip works for the default commenting tools only. If you are using Typepad Connect for comments, the CSS code will not change the comment form.

At Design > Custom CSS, enter the below code in the text field and click Save Changes to update your blog.

#comment-url { display: none !important; }

Custom CSS is a feature available with the Unlimited and higher plans only. Upgrade your account to Unlimited at Account > Billing Info > Upgrade or Downgrade to take advantage of the Custom CSS feature.
