At Design > Content, click the pencil icon next to the Post or Page Footer module to select content to be included in the footer. If you are using an Advanced Template Set for your blog's design, jump to the instructions for updating your template tags.
Post Footer
The available options for the Post Footer include:
- "Posted" - "Posted by" or "Posted on" at the beginning of the footer.
- Author Pic - The photo uploaded to your Typepad Profile will display in the footer. Learn more.
- Author Name - The Display Name set for your account at Account > Summary.
- Date - The Date in the format set at Settings > Posts for your blog. Learn more.
- Time - The Time in the format set at Settings > Posts for your blog. Learn more.
- Category - The categories assigned to the post as links to the category index.
- Technorati Tags - As of May 2014, Technorati has retired thier search engine. While you can still add tags to your posts, the tags will not be connected to Technorati's search index.
- Tweet This! - Link or button to tweet a link to the post on Twitter. Learn more.
- Google +1 - Add the +1 one button to allow readers to share your post in their Google circle. Learn more.
- Pinterest - Link to pin post at Pinterest. Learn more.
- Facebook Like - Link to add a link to Facebook wall as liked post. Learn more.
Permalink
The Permalink is the permanent location for the post. When you click the Permalink it takes you to the archive page for that post, which is used to link directly to that specific post.
When a post is no longer displayed on the Main Index, it is still always accessible at the Permalink location. By default, the post footer will always have a permalink.
Page Footer
The available options for the Page Footer include:
- Tweet This! - Link or button to tweet a link to the post on Twitter. Learn more.
- Google +1 - Add the +1 one button to allow readers to share your post in their Google circle. Learn more.
- Pin It - Link to pin post at Pinterest. Learn more.
- Facebook Like - Link to add a link to Facebook wall as liked post. Learn more.
Configuring the Footer with Advanced Templates
When you are using Advanced Templates for your blog's design, you'll need to edit your templates directly to make any changes to the post or page footer content. The default tags for the footer in the Main Index, DateBased Archives, and Category Archives templates are:
The Individual Archives and Pages templates will have slightly different default tags for the footer.
Date and Time
To edit the display of date and time in the Post Footer, edit the MTEntryDate tag using the date and time tags.
