Configuring Your TypeList

In the configuration of a TypeList, you can set things such as the list name and the way the list items are displayed on your weblog, including the number to be displayed.

On your TypeLists tab, click the Edit Configuration link for the TypeList you would like configure to open the settings page.

List Basics

Name of list (required): This is what you want to call your list. The name will display as the header text of the list.
Description (optional): This is a description for your list that is not displayed on the weblog.

Advanced Configuration

The advanced configuration depends on what type of list you are working with:

Link TypeList

Number of list items displayed on weblog: Indicate the number of list items that you wish to be displayed in the sidebar of your weblog or About Page. The default is 10.
Display order: Select whether you want your links displayed in ascending (oldest at top) or descending (newest at top) order, or alphabetically by Link Title.
Display notes: Select whether you would like to display the notes as a tooltip in your sidebar.

People TypeList

Display order: Select whether you want your items displayed in ascending (oldest at top) or descending (newest at top) order, or alphabetically by the Name or Site Name.
Display by: Select whether you want your links titled by the Name or Site Name.
Display one-line-bio: Select whether you would like to display the one-line bio in your sidebar.
Display update time: Select whether you would like to display the time that the site was last updated (if available).

Reading & Music TypeList

Number of list items displayed on weblog: Indicate the number of list items that you wish to be displayed in the sidebar of your weblog/about page. The default is 10
Display order: Select whether you want your items displayed in ascending (oldest at top) or descending (newest at top) order.; Reading lists can also be sorted by date added, alphabetically by Author or Title, or sorted by Rating.; Music lists can also be sorted by date added, alphabetically by Artist, Album, or Song, or sorted by Rating.
Display book cover thumbnail: Select whether you would like to display the book/album cover thumbnail in your sidebar.
Display notes: Select whether you would like to display the item notes in your sidebar.
Display rating: Select whether you would like to display the rating in your sidebar.

After making changes to the configuration, press the Save Changes button to apply any changes to your site.
