Viewing Visitor Stats

To view the visitor stats and referrers for your site, click the Control Panel tab to access your Control Panel area, then click the Stats tab to open the Statistics and Referrers page.

Use the drop-down menu to select the weblog or album and the statistics for that weblog or album are shown.

The count for the total number of hits starts from the first day the weblog was created. A hit is a page view and is counted every time a page is loaded.

The number of hits for Average per day, Today, In the last hour, and This week are also displayed.

Referrers

In the Referrers section of the stats display, the recent visits to the weblog or album are shown. The time of the visit is displayed along with the name of the page that was viewed and the address the visitor clicked through from. Click the link shown in the Referring Address column to visit the referring page.

If there isn’t a link shown for the referrer, it was most likely a direct request for your page, where the visitor typed your address in their browser instead of clicking through from somewhere.

If the referrer is a search engine, you can click the link to view the search that brought the visitor to your site. If the referrer is your own site, that means the visitor browsed from that page on your site to the next.

Stats and Advanced Template Sets

If you are using advanced templates, make sure to include the tag for the stats counter in your templates for the weblog pages:

Stats Shortcut

You can also click directly to the Statistics and Referrers page for a weblog or album by clicking the “View Visitor Stats” link for the weblog on your Weblogs tab, or for the album on your Photo Albums tab.
