How To Add A Link

A link to another website or to your own content can be placed anywhere on your blog. You can also link to an email address.

First, choose where you want to place the link on your blog:

Insert Link in a Post or Page

Insert linkWhen composing a Post or Page, highlight the text that you would like to be the title of the link and click the Insert Link button. You can also open the Insert Link tool without highlighting text and the link will be inserted into the body of the post.

Type in or paste the URL you're linking to as http://www.example.com. If you would like for the link to open a new browser when clicked, check the Open in a new window box. In the Link Text field, enter the text you wish to appear in the post as the active link. The Link Title field will be the text that is shown when the cursor is placed over the link title and is optional. Click Insert Link to add the link to your post.

Please note the full URL is required including http:// for the link or mailto: if you are linking to an email address. See the article on linking to an email address for information specific to linking an email address.

Add link to the horizontal Navigation Bar

To place links below the banner image, you can edit the links in the Navigation Bar. At Design > Content, click the pencil icon next to the Navigation Bar module.

In the pop-up box, you can add and edit the links using the Simple configuration and click OK. Then click Save Changes to update your blog.

To link to a Page on your blog, you can grab the URL for the Page by going to Posts > Pages. Then right-click on the View link. Select Copy Link or Copy Shortcut from the pop-up menu to copy the URL for the page. Use the copied URL to link to the Page in the blog's Navigation Bar. Similarly, you can get the Permalink URL for a Post by going to the Posts list and right-clicking on View below the post title.

Add link to sidebar

A Links TypeList can be utilized to add a list of links, like a blogroll, to your blog's sidebar. To create a new TypeList, go to Library > TypeLists and click Add a TypeList.

Click Add Item, enter the website URL in the Quick Add field, and click Go. The website Title and URL will automatically be entered, and you can make any necessary changes or add a note. Finally, click Save to add the item to your TypeList.

To add the TypeList to your blog, go to Design > Content, select your TypeList module, and click Add This Module. After rearranging your sidebar items, click Save Changes to update your blog with the list

Add link to end of page in Blog Footer

Links can be added to the end of all pages of your site by including links in the Blog Footer. At Design > Content, click the pencil icon next to the Blog Footer module.

In the pop-up box, you can add and links using the Simple configuration and click OK. Then click Save Changes to update your blog.
